Hangouts offers more than just spontaneous same-day plans. You can create future community events or see what events are planned nearby by other users.

Limit the number of guests or leave it wide open for as many people as possible to join. Create a restricted event so you can decide who attends and who doesn't!

Hangouts app allows you to create or join instant, spur-of-the-moment plans to meet up with groups of people around you.

Want to try the new brewery in town or have a picnic at the park? Create a Hangout to let other locals know what you feel like doing.

Not sure what you feel like doing? Browse active Hangouts to see what people nearby are up to. Join any Hangout you want to. Others will join your Hangout as well.

Form Groups & Make a Plan

Hangouts often include 3 or more people to make the Hangout more relaxed, social, and enjoyable.

Once you’re in a Hangout, you can group chat to make a plan for where and when you want to meet.

Meeting new friends one on one is great, but the more the merrier! Unlike apps like other friend-making apps where you meet people one on one, Hangouts is the only app that brings large groups of people together for same day events.

We’ll send you a notification when someone accepts your request to join their Hangout, or when people requests to join your Hangout.

Unlike other friend-making apps, Hangouts Social is the only app that is NOT profile based. You can meet up with groups of people in your area based on the activity you feel like doing. On Hangouts your profile is nothing more than one picture and a line about yourself.

Accept or Decline Hangout Requests

All members in a Hangout have the option to either Accept or Decline requests for new people to join your hangout.

Create Women-Only Events

Create women-only events by adding the indication to your title such as "(Girls) Brunch!" and by accepting only women to the Hangout.

All members in a Hangout will receive the notification that someone wants to join the hangout, but the first Hangout member to respond to the request by accepting or declining that member will make the decision.

Add Friends & Keep in Touch

Use the Past Hangouts feature to view copies of your old hangouts and reach out to people you connected with.

Create a Direct Chat with a new friend or create a group chat (coming soon) with several folks.

Use the Star button to add a new friend to your Community Page and meet up with them in the future.

Did you meet some neighbors that you clicked with? Want to kick it again? All the Hangouts that you've been a part of in the past will be saved and accessible in your Past Hangouts page. That way you can keep in touch with people you’ve met. Simply click on their profile picture and send them a private message. You can also create a group chat to coordinate plans, share photos from a past hangout, or just chat (coming soon).
